News First WRC 5 screenshots surface

With Kylotonn Games' WRC 5 and Milestone's Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo due out later this year, 2015 promises to be a vintage year for rally fans – and Dirt 4 still hasn't even been formally announced.
While Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo's marketing campaign has been picking up pace recently with swarms of screenshots showing barren tracks and developer diaries with dire dubbing, news on WRC 5 has been scant since its tantalysing teaser trailer debuted in January.
However, we've now been given a new glimpse of WRC 5 courtesy of the first official screenshots taken from an early alpha build of the game. Heaven forbid, they show an actual car: Kylotonn 1, Milestone 0.
The screenshots showcase the Ford Fiesta RS WRC from M-Sport World Rally Team tearing through the dusty trails of Rally México.
While we may love to mock Milestone's monotonous marketing campaigns where they seem to relish drip feed us screenshots showing next to nothing, on first glance Sebastien Loeb has the superior visual fidelity. On sheer detail , Sebastien Loeb's stages look stunning compared to what we've seen so far in WRC 5. Car models look passable, but at least the dust trials look the part hinting at some potentially promising particle effects, providing they don't fade away instantly.
Hopefully it won't be long until we see WRC 5's cars in motion when the inevitable video trailers are released. And hopefully by then Milestone might get round to showing some screenshots of cars in Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo, because y'know, it's a driving game.
Both WRC 5 and Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will be arriving in a cloud of dust this Autumn for PS4, PC and Xbox One. WRC 5 will also be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita. Which rally game are you looking forward to playing the most?
