News F1 2015: Circuit of the Americas replay

Our next F1 2015 video takes a look at the replay footage of the Circuit of the Americas run that we covered previously.

Here we get to sample F1 2015's TV camera style replays which, for the first time ever, can be focused on any car in the race which was a long overdue feature in my opinion. As has been the case for the past two seasons, the two Mercedes drivers get off to a great start here and begin to widen their lead over the rest of the pack almost immediately. 

The problem with the long camera shots looking down the straights is that in previous games you'd see the LOD (level of detail) of the cars change as they get closer to the camera. Often you can notice texture and detail pop in all of a sudden which can look very awkward at times. Here however, the LOD changes are so subtle that they are hard to even notice at all.

F1 2015 will run on a new version of Codemasters' EGO engine built specifically for the current generation consoles. The Formula One title will benefit from a tweaked and enhanced handling model which includes an improved suspension and a brand new tyre model. F1 2015 will release on July 10 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Take a look at the Circuit of the Americas replay footage below.
