Following our recent Project CARS vs F1 2015 Monaco comparison, we now compare the very first game in Codemasters long-running series, F1 2010, up against its latest offering and we once again take to the streets of Monte Carlo.

Straight away you'll notice just how dark F1 2010 compared to the recently released F1 2015 which has a very bright colour palette. The “above-head” viewpoint has shifted quite a bit in F1 2015 as has the cockpit view in order to provide better visibility for the player. Some of the cars in F1 2010 were very tricky to dirve in cockpit view you may remember because of a lack of visibility, although admittedly F1 2010 provided a more realistic view of what a real F1 driver would see (not very much).

F1 2010 stacks up well against it's younger sibling graphically, despite being five years old now. However, it has to be said the original game did suffer from some serious slow-down as you got towards the end of the lap at Monaco which was particularly bad on the Playstation 3 version. You may also notice just how much difference there is in braking distances between the two games, in the 2015 cars you really can brake super-late and still make the turns, whereas in F1 2010 you really had to respect braking distances.

Take a look at the F1 2010 vs F1 2015 comparison below and let us know what you liked and disliked about both games.
