News Driveclub available as free download for PlayStation Plus subscribers

Whilst us here at Team VVV are undoubtedly interested in Evolutions Studios' PS4 launch racer Driveclub, it's not exactly up there with the likes of Forza Motorsport 5 for us in terms of pre-launch hype.
That, though, may soon be about to change, as Sony has confirmed that a version of the title will be available as a free download from the PlayStation store.
Dubbed the "Driveclub PS Plus" edition, the entry requirements are as they say on the tin: in order to nab yourself a version, you'll have to subscribe to the premium PlayStation Plus service on the PlayStation Network.
Given Sony has confirmed PS Plus is required to access the multiplayer components of games, and Driveclub is a very online-centric title, it's certainly tempting to fork out for PS Plus, especially when the discounts and free downloads that are also a part of the service help cancel out what's likely to be a £60 annual fee.
No details were given on what esle differentiates the PS Plus version of Driveclub from the regular game, nor what would happen to the title once the 12 months were up, though we imagine – if there are any differences – they'll be revealed sooner rather than later.
A playable demo of Driveclub is also available on the show floor at E3, so hopefully we'll have some gameplay footage of the title on the Team VVV website and YouTube channel in the coming days.
