it feels like an eternity since we first reported on DriveClub during its unveiling at E3 2013, but the wait is now nearly over. DriveClub is literally around the corner, launching on October 7th in the US, October 8th in Europe and October 10th in the UK, which will come as a huge relief for patient PS4 players who have been deprived of any major racing releases since it launched last November bar Need For Speed Rivals and MotoGP '14.
To commemorate its impending launch, Evolution has released a suitably rousing trailer showcasing some of the picturesque locations you'll be burning rubber in, its emphasis on teamwork and of course those dazzling graphics that border on photorealism at times. There's also a fleeting glimpse at the damage modelling, as the remnants of a deformed Lotus Exige cartwheels into the air in glorious slow motion.

However, turns out the slow-mo smash acts as a metaphor during a sly dig at its neighbouring Xbox One rival Forza through a choice quote from VG247, despite the two franchises having next to nothing in common other than the fact they both happen to be racing games. Shame on you, Sony.
