With less than four weeks to go until all the pre-season test session at Jerez kicks off, the latest announcement by Paul Di Resta may come as a bit of a surprise to those who avidly follow Formula One.

In a recent statement to the press, the Scottish driver confirmed that he still has no idea who he'll be sharing a pit garage with in the 2013 season.

"I am surprised there has been nothing yet. The team have said they will announce it in good time as to where they are going to be, and I have to respect that."

Di Resta also went on to say that being left in the dark was "undoubtedly" affecting him – your team mate is, after all, the only person on the grid you can be accurately compared with over the course of a season, so it's understandably important from Di Resta's perspective to know who he'll partnered with – but reckons it won't affect him in the long term.

"At the end of the day I know my job, and I am fully focused on what I need to achieve at the moment, whether that is managing my time, booking flights, working with the engineers, or whatever."

He went on to say "I know who my team are, who my mechanics are. There are some new faces in that, which means we will be stronger again. But I'm feeling quite good about it; very positive. I've been at the factory and the vibe is very high."

Whilst only those in the higher echelons of the Force India hierarchy would know who exactly would be partnering Paul Di Resta next year, it's widely tipped that Nico Hulkenberg's replacement will either be Jules Bianchi – the team's current test and reserve driver – or former Force India driver Adrian Sutil.
