Following the successful launch of Table Top Racing: World Tour earlier this year, the development team Playrise Digital are now flirting with the idea of a physical release for the title some time in 2017.
Many teasers and mentions for a physical release can be found on the official Twitter page of the developer who are currently working on bringing Table Top Racing: World Tour to the Xbox One. It begs the question, will will see a simultaneous physical release of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions to coincide with the launch of the Xbox One version? I wouldn’t rule it out at this point.
According to a tweet from Playrise Digital, Table Top Racing: World Tour amassed a staggering 4.5 million downloads in May 2016, so it’s fair to assume there would be a decent sized market for a physical release.
It would be nice to see a special edition with the Supercharger and Tropical Ice packs thrown in as a bundle but we’ll see. We’ll keep you up to date on any developments as soon as we can.
Table Top Racing: World Tour first released back in May 2016 as part of May’s PlayStation Plus free offerings. The game got very mixed reviews upon launch and currently sits on metacritic with an aggregated score of just 55. We thought the game deserved a higher score with its fun pick up and play nature complete with beautifully detailed cars and tracks with hidden depth. You can read our review here.
