After much speculation and deliberation, Clarkson, Hammond and May's forthcoming Amazon Prime show finally now has a name. It's called, wait for it…The Grand Tour. And it's airing exclusively on Amazon Prime this autumn.

Grand Tour is said to reflect the global theme of the show. Each episode will be filmed in a different location, and the trio also revealed that there will be a studio audience during recordings. There's a twist, though – guests will be housed in a giant tent. It will also be a pretty exclusive experience, as tickets can only be obtained through competitions Amazon will be hosting for their customers.

Clarkson has confirmed on Twitter that there will be 12 episodes in the first series, 11 of which will be filmed with a studio audience. The final episode will be "a Christmas thing". He also confirmed Yorkshire as a location since all three of them grew up there.

Reactions have been mixed, with the new name leaving some people of the internet underwhelmed. It's actually a deceptively clever name – not only is it an obvious car pun, it's also a play on the Top Gear name when shorterned (GT instead of TG, get it?).

And on that bombshell, are you looking forward to GT when it starts this Autumn?
