News Bugatti Vision GT fully revealed, coming to Gran Turismo 6 this month

After much teasing, the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo car has been fully revealed and is due to appear in Gran Turismo 6 at some point this month. Not only that, Bugatti have announced they will showcase a full-scale version of the car at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Bugatti Vision GT car bares more than a resemblance to the mighty love-it-or-hate-it Veyron, dig deeper however and it becomes clear that the car is inspired by many Bugatti cars throughout the manufacturers history.

The cars theme in fact was based off of the Bugatti Type 57 Tank which raced to victory in the world famous 24-hour Le Mans races of 1937 and 1939. The classic blue two-tone finish mirrors that of the Type 57 G Tank and has since been known as Bugatti's brand colour.

“Under no circumstances did we want to create a retro-style race car in memory of the successes in Le Mans, but rather to transfer the feeling and mood of these special moments in Bugatti’s history to a modern vehicle,” stated Sasha Selipanov, the Head of Exterior Design Creative Development. “As an acknowledged Gran Turismo fan, it is a great adventure for me to bring a brand which was once so successful in racing back to the virtual track.” 

Not much is known about the Bugatti Vision GT car although it is apparently powered by a 16 cylinder, quad turbo engine which produces close to 1500 bhp. Expect more specs to be revealed soon. A full scale version of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo model will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show from September 17-27 and can be found at the Bugatti exhibit in hall 3.0.
