News Assetto Corsa pre-order details revealed, Spa-Francorchamps confirmed as DLC

Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we're just a few steps away from the official release of Assetto Corsa: the first pre-order details for the much-anticipated PC sim have been revealed.
Included in the title's eventual price will be the first DLC pack for Assetto Corsa, which is expected to be available to download somewhere between six to eight weeks after the PC sim goes on sale.
As confirmed by Marco Massarutto (Kunos Simulazioni's Licencing Project Manager) on his Facebook page – along with the Steam screengrab you see here – Assetto Corsa will retail in the region of 40 to 45 Euros, which puts that in between £35 and £40 at current exchange rates.
Oh, and before you start looking for Assetto Corsa on Valve's popular PC game service, you won't find it as this is still a work-in-progress effort, so don't bother!
There is some more good news, though – included in the sim's eventual retail price for those who pre-order will be the first official DLC package, which is expected to be released some six to eight weeks after Assetto Corsa goes on sale.
Very few details were released on what the DLC pack will entail – for instance, we only know "some car models" will be included – but it was confirmed that the fabled Spa-Francorchamps circuit will be at least one of the tracks that'll make up the assortment of optional content.
With more and more details hinting at Assetto Corsa's imminent completion – such as the release-ready lighting effects that were flaunted in the most recent batch of in-game previews – being confirmed in fairly quick succession, do keep checking back on the Team VVV website.
For all we know, there could very well be a news item by us on Assetto Corsa's release date in the foreseeable future!
