Game: Assetto Corsa

Platform: PC, PS4, XBox One

Publisher: 505 Games

Release Date: 19/12/2014

While still playable with a controller, the sublime simulation physics of Assetto Corsa are clearly designed to be experienced with a wheel. On console, there are plenty to choose from with a range of wheels available from Thrustmaster, Logitech and Fanatec. One week before Assetto Corsa is released on PS4 and Xbox One, Kunos Simulazioni has outlined which wheels are compatible with the console version.

Unfortunately, it's bad news for PS4 owners if you own a Fanatec Clubsport or CSL. After being noticeably absent on F1 2016's PS4 wheel compatibility list, Fanatec will also not be supporting Assetto Corsa on PS4 due to an on-going licensing dispute with Sony. Thrustmaster owners, on the other hand, need not worry as Assetto Corsa supports just about everything from their product range.

Kunos issued the following statement regarding Fanatec's exclusion on the PS4:

"505 Games and Kunos Simulazioni can confirm that Assetto Corsa currently supports all officially licensed peripherals for PlayStation 4. We are constantly striving to deliver our community the best driving sim experience and whilst we understand that this may not match expectations, we will of course do all we can to support our players. Right now, this matter is beyond our control but we hope to add support for more wheels in the future by working closely with both Sony and Fanatec."

Assetto Corsa races onto PS4 and Xbox One next week on August 25th. Not long to go now!
