A historically-significant Ferrari 330 P4 racing sports car has won the Gran Turismo Trophy at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Entered by Lawrence Stroll (a Canadian investor with an incredibly impressive collection of Ferraris), the 330 P4's newest accoldate means this fabled sports car should be featured in a Gran Turismo game at some point.

Though the P4 isn't an all-new car to the Gran Turismo franchise (a 1967 Ferrari 330 was featured in Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6), this particular example is perhaps the most desirable of the four that have ever been built.

Along with winning the 1967 1000km of Monza and finishing runner-up in Ferrari's podium lock out at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the same year, the Ferrari 330 P4 '0856' is also the most original P4 in existence today.

The Ferrari 330 P4 is the latest in a long line of historic racing cars that are now destined to eventually feature in a Gran Turismo game. When '0856' will make its racing game debut, though, remains to be seen.
