News Towtruck Simulator 2015 parks on Steam…in Q1 2014

Traditionally, video games are all about escapism: racing games, for example, let you become a skilled professional racing driver to escape the drudgery of your existence. And yet there are a wealth of games based on the mundane jobs many people play games to escape from: there's Farming Simulator, Bus Simulator and even Street Cleaning Simulator, to name a few. And now there's another one.

Forget all the driving games you were eagerly anticipating this year – Towtruck Simulator 2015 has just parked itself on Steam…despite the fact it's only March 2014. Logic seemingly went out the window on this one.

In fairness, at least Tow Truck Simulator 2015 seems to do exactly what it says on the tin: you drive an assortment of slow tow trucks on a quest to bring drivers who dare to park their car illegally to justice, stealing their hard-earned cash in the process. Three game modes are available complete with high score lists, apparently, although the game listing helpfully doesn't point any of them out. 

Other stand-out features? Well, aside from its depressingly realistic simulation of navigating congested streets, Tow Truck Simulator 2015's party piece is its realistic hydraulic stabiliser physics. Not many games can claim to have that, right? 

If all this sounds like fun to you, Towtruck Simulator 2015 can be yours to own for the introductory discount price of £8.79 on Steam.

My advice: just play the tow truck minigame on GTA V. At least you can swing the car you're towing into innocent bystanders to ease the monotony.
